Best Mu-huffins in Town

January 11, 2010

I’ll get around to posting some recipes for muffins eventually (hey – Tracey, now’s the time to post your eggless banana muffin recipe!) but for now, I’m going to do a little promo for what I think are the best mu-huffins in town: Diplomat Bakery in Steveston. These are NOT even close to being the healthy, seedly, nutty, dried-fruity, kinda muffins. Nope, these are pure cake-y goodness, and we love them.

Chocolate chip banana are our favourites…no doubt they don’t load theirs with shredded zucchini and carrots like I do. Gee, I wonder why Simone only nibbles at mine, and inhales theirs? Duh.

Hey Andrea!! Welcome to the Blogosphere!! I LOVE your little stories about your trials with Simone. I'd also love to tell you that it's an age thing and this too shall pass etc etc but … well, Paige is almost 4 and sounds about as picky as Simone. I'm a big fan of pureeing stuff and hiding it in otherwise crap food! Try pureed yams/sweet potatoes in pancakes … it's a huge hit around here!Good luck!

I'm having a hard time imagining yams in pancakes…but hey, I'll try anything! Very cool idea.
